Stretch Mark Creams Facts Revealed

Stretch marks are a fact of life for many people of all different backgrounds.  These marks are stress lines in the skin that cause the skin to be lighter and waver in the stress mark region.  These marks are called such because that is where the skin “stretched” to compensate for growth.  These sections do not tan well and if one wish to cover them, stretch mark cream and skin care products are the only way to fade or cause them to temporarily disappear.

Because stretch marks are caused by the stretching of the skin, pigment cells are spaced out more in the stretched area verses the normal skin areas.  This causes the stretch marks to be paler and for the marks to resist tanning.  This means that one must apply skin care products to the marks if one wishes to hide the mark.  Such skin care products can be self-tanners or bronzers.  These are highly effective skin care products to use for the evening of one’s skin tone and to hide one’s stretch marks.

For a longer lasting method of fading stretch marks, one can use stretch mark creams or other scar creams.  These creams replace the pigment and allow for natural looking skin despite the marks.  Many times these creams include a bronzer or sunless tanner.  Overtime, the stretch marks fade under the use of these various different types of stretch mark creams.  These creams are often available over the counter, but some may require a prescription, so talk to your doctor.
